So, I guess it's just good luck that I happened to to finish this on New Years Day...

About the scene itself; the foremost tank is the Soviet T95, while its companion farther down is the T90.

The tanks traversing the gulch are a complement of the fictional American M2 Petraeus tanks.

There's also a pair of MiG29's, as well as a Soviet Engels-class frigate bombarding an American city.

In terms of actually making this, I used an awful lot of the stamp tool; really works wonders with tricky details like hillsides and camouflage patterns.

Also note that there's sort of an easter egg in this picture; look closely, and you'll see a familiar battle unfolding...

Cool that is Interesting, I thought I'd tell you that since you like Russia so much and I myself am a fan of Russia's Military in some regards such as the Vallhalans, and I am a fan of Avatar the Last Airbender, I thought I'd kick off the series (Avatar World at War) with a one-shot called We died for Mother Russia, due on the internet soon. Oh yeah and Avatar WaW actually takes place on the western front and all the Characters are in the U.S. Army I just thought it would be cool to do a short about the war on the Russian front.

This looks like a nice place to vacation in =P
Awesome job on detail and scenery (of destruction).

Maybe you could show those EA morons how to do Red Alert properly, that RA3 just annoys me, instead of thinking of making newer weaponry in a future Soviet war, they bring back the time machine and throw in Japan. >_>

From what I've heard about RA3, I find it hard not to like it. Okay, so it's a lot more slapstick that the first game, but I always figured that's what the Red Alert series was about.

Now, C&C3, there's a game they didn't quite get in character.

Im just saying from the demo I tried. There was no bloody repair button. And some of the other features just annoyed me. Like the bloody Allied and Soviet tanks are bouncing on the spot as if they're on jello. o_O

Awesome work there!
Soviet Invasion Confirmed again it seems.

And I can't guess the recreated battle.
Mountainous terrain would lead me to believe somewhere in the southwest, but I don't know.
